Sir Elton Hercules John (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. Collaborating with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967 on more than 30 albums, John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits in the UK Singles Chart and US Billboard Hot 100, including seven number ones in the UK and nine in the US, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the US. His tribute single "Candle in the Wind 1997", rewritten in dedication to Diana, Princess of Wales, sold over 33 million copies worldwide and is the best-selling single in the history of the UK and US singles charts. He has also produced records and occasionally acted in films. John owned Watford F.C. from 1976 to 1987 and from 1997 to 2002. He is an honorary life president of the club.

Lil Nas X announces dates for his Montero world tour

Lil Nas X is set to embark on his first-ever solo tour in support of his critically acclaimed debut album, Montero. The Long Live Montero tour will see the That’s What I Want hitmaker make stops across North America and Europe towards the end of 2022.

Produced by Live Nation, it is scheduled to kick off in Detroit on 6 September and conclude in Barcelona on 17 November. He is set to perform in the UK on 12 November at the Eventim Apollo as one of his European shows.

His highly anticipated album was released on 17 September and features collaborations from the likes of Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John and Jack Harlow.

It debuted and peaked at number two in both the UK and US, with its singles also seeing a huge amount of commercial success all over the world.

The intersection landmarking request should be voted on by the supervisors at their June 7 meeting, as they are off next week due to the Memorial Day holiday.Land use committee members Supervisors Myrna Melgar (District 7), Aaron Peskin (District 3), and Dean Preston (District 5) unanimously voted in support of the resolutions to enhance the landmark designation for the Castro Theatre and to establish city landmark designation for the intersection of Taylor and Turk streets, formerly the site of Compton's Cafeteria where a groundbreaking riot by transgender people tired of being harassed by police took place in August 1966, three years before the Stonewall riots in New York City.The enhanced landmark designation for the Castro Theatre, which was already designated a city landmark in 1977, would take into account the interior of the fabled movie palace, offering additional protections to the theater.
