Megan Barton-Hanson says she feared coming out as bisexual after suffering a backlash over her sex work confessions.Speaking on the latest episode of the Metro's Smutdrop podcast the former exotic dancer, who once claimed to have earned a staggering £6,000 a day working as a webcam girl, revealed that the subject of her sexuality had first come up a year before she appeared on the 2018 edition of the 'sex and sun' show on ITV2. "So, I'd auditioned for Love Island the year before," said the 27-year-old from Essex."They asked me to come in and I mentioned that I liked girls and if anything, was probably more into girls at this point, and they said, 'Oh, okay - perfect.'"I got through and they were like, 'Yeah, we might call you' but they never did, Then they asked to interview me again the following year and I thought, 'Maybe I won't mention girls (this time)'."She added that when she finally left the programme's fourth series she was met by comments and headlines "slut-shaming" her and bring up her sex work past, along with the various plastic surgery she'd had done and her appearance in general."I thought, 'Oh god, the last thing I want to do is be like papped with a girl and say I'm bisexual because it's going to give them something else to say and sexualise it," she added."So I was in a weird space with that for a minute, and then I thought, 'I have to be me, I don't want to live my life for other people'.
