Billy Bean has sadly passed away at age 60. The Major League Baseball legend played baseball from 1987 until 1995 as part of the Detroit Tigers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the San Diego Padres.
He most recently served as MLB’s Senior Vice President for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Special Assistant to the Commissioner. Billy came out as gay in 1996 and was the second MLB player to ever come out publicly. Keep reading to find out more… Commissioner of Baseball Robert D.
