Jeremy Irvine is heading to the dancefloor for his next film project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Treadstone star has signed on to lead Chris Cottam’s upcoming British comedy, The Light Fantastic, which is based on a true story.

Additional cast members include My Best Friend’s Wedding’s Rupert Everett, Femme star Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Bad Education talent Layton Williams.

Set in the seaside town of Blackpool, the film follows Jason (Irvine), a 30-something gay firefighter who decides to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ballroom dancer.

With the help of his no-nonsense instructor, Reynolds (Everett), Jason navigates the strict rules and traditions of the ballroom world while embarking on a heartwarming journey of self-discovery.
