Anti-LGBTQIA+ figure Corey DeAgnelis has broken his silence on his history as a gay adult film star. On 24 September, the conservative author – who is best known for targeting public school funding and spouting anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric – made headlines when he was exposed for his alleged involvement in gay porn, specifically the website GayHoopla.
According to LGBTQ Nation, DeAngelis filmed two videos in 2014 under the name “Seth Rose,” which included one solo scene and a group masturbation scene.
It didn’t take long for the revelation to spread like wildfire on social media, with many LGBTQIA+ activists and allies calling out the self-proclaimed “school choice evangelist” for his hypocrisy. “Corey DeAngelis is yet another public figure whose anti-LGBTQ extremism already makes him deeply unqualified to be an expert in improving safety and education at school,” GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis told The Advocate in a statement. “The latest news on DeAngelis further reveals his baseless, hypocritical attempt to profiteer and score political points.
The real threat is from people who have propped him up and their Project 2025 blueprint for a government takeover that would demolish the Department of Education and refuse to recognize rising LGBTQ visibility and acceptance across society.” DeAngelis was also placed on leave and later fired from his senior fellow position at the conservative nonprofit American Federation for Children.
