Former EastEnders star Michelle Collins has shared how she was left 'violently sick' after eating a daffodil by accident. The actress shared the ordeal while appearing on Good Morning Britain on Thursday (March 2) where she spoke to hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard about free school meals.
Michelle is calling on the government to introduce free meals in every primary school in England as she recalled how, growing up, her mother didn’t want her children to partake in free meals due to the stigma around it.
She shared how her mum worked three jobs and 'really struggled,' but the children would have had to go into a separate queue for a free meal which was she felt was 'humiliating'.
But also during her appearance on the show, Michelle was asked about her accidental food horror after Marks & Spencer was forced to apologise after a shopper made a worrying observation about an in-store display.
