Uptown Players is getting ready to start a smashing 2022-23 season (read all about it in the Applause section in this issue of Dallas Voice), but first, they have to wind up the 2021-22 season.
And they do so in fine form with Douglas Carter Beane’s The Little Dog Laughed, opening Friday, Aug. 19, and running through Aug.
28. The show stars Kevin Moore, Elizabeth Kensek, Carson Shofner and Shyama Nithiananda and tells the story of an up-and-coming actor pretending to be in a relationship with his female agent so no one will know he is gay.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays for the run of the show. Tickets range from $30-$50 and are available online at UptownPlayers.org. ……………. Metroplex-wide drag The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is never at a loss for first-class drag, whether you are headed to the famed Rose Room or munching down at one of the areas many drag brunches.
