Demi Lovato has shared why “constantly” having to educate people about ‘they/them’ pronouns was a reason for them going by ‘she/her’ again.

The star came out as non-binary in May 2021 when she announced that she would be using ‘they/them’ pronouns going forward. She recently updated these to include ‘she/her’ again, though still also goes by ‘they/them’. “I constantly had to educate people and explain why I identified with those pronouns,” Demi told GQ Hype Spain. “It was absolutely exhausting.” The ‘Still Alive’ singer added that she “just got tired” of it, though it is “for that very reason I know that it is important to continue spreading the word.” READ MORE: Demi Lovato’s ‘Holy Fvck’ poster banned in UK over offence to Christians Demi also stated that she hopes to see more gender-neutral spaces available to everyone. “I face this every day,” they said. “For example, in public toilets.
