Rose Knight’s identity was finally revealed in tonight’s episode of EastEnders - and she's really Cindy Beale. After months of speculation and fan theories, Cindy returns to EastEnders 25 years after she was killed off-screen.

Viewers saw her failing to accept a call from George as he attempted to get in contact with missing wife ‘Rose’ confirming Cindy has been living under both names.

Cindy wasn’t alone in her comeback, her ex-husband, Ian Beale, played by Adam Woodyatt returned too.Thursday's episode will clear-up a lot of unanswered questions including: how long has Ian known Cindy was alive?

And where has she been all this time? Actress Michelle Collins, 61, left the show in 1998 when her character went to prison for conspiracy to murder Ian.
