Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne has opened up about her Dancing On Ice experience in a new interview. Back in October, the 30-year-old star announced that she would be the first drag artist to compete in the popular TV series. “Excited to announce that I will be competing in Dancing on Ice in 2023!

A dream come true,” she wrote on Twitter. “To be the first drag artist to take part in one of the big UK reality competition shows is truly an honour.

I think it’s a big step forward for queer representation on TV.” Since revealing the exciting news, The Vivienne has remained an open book regarding her preparation for her highly anticipated ice skating debut.

During a recent interview with Lorraine Kelly, the Welsh queen spilt all the tea on her training hacks and how she avoids injuries. “I’m quite lucky because when I’m skating in drag underneath all this, there’s three inches of foam on each side of my hips to give me the illusion of Jessica Rabbit.

The Anglican archbishop of Sydney has apologised to the clergy after “mistakenly” promoting an event by a gay evangelical in the diocese’s newspaper. The Catholic archdiocese printed an advertisement in their Southern Cross newspaper, which promoted gay rights campaigner Jayne Ozanne’s upcoming talk entitled Unashamedly Gay. Unashamedly Christian, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.Jayne Ozanne is the director of the Ozanne Foundation, an organisation that works with religious leaders and faith groups across the world with the aim of protecting the rights of LGBTQI people. The advertisement for her talk was taken down from the online edition and replaced with a photograph of a sunset. Archbishop Kanishka Raffel published an announcement to the clergy, declaring his regret over his decision to accept the advertisement. In the newsletter, Archbishop Raffel apologised for causing “distress” to the clergy and affirmed that the editorial process would go under review to prevent mistakes like this from happening in future.
