Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey fans rejoice! We finally have a release date for their LGBTQ+ period drama Fellow Travelers. On 17 August, Showtime surprised fans when they released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated limited series.
While the clip was very brief – coming in at only 15 seconds – it did feature new shots of the star-studded cast and its premiere date –which is set for 27 October in the US and 28 October in the UK on Paramount+ with Showtime.
Shortly after the trailer was released, LGBTQ+ TV enthusiasts flocked to social media to express their excitement for the series.
One person tweeted: “Finally a date!!!!” Another individual wrote: “YESS, thank you Showtime!!! And thank you for making beautiful LGBTQ content!” Based on Thomas Mallon’s novel of the same name, the series is described as “an epic love story and political thriller, chronicling the volatile romance of two very different men who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington.” Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey is set to play Tim Laughlin, a “young man brimming with idealism and religious faith” who is optimistic about a post-WWII world.
