The What We Do in the Shadows TV series is reportedly coming to an end. Based on Taika Waititi’s beloved 2014 film of the same name, the show follows four dysfunctional vampire roomies in Staten Island: Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou) and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch).

The quartet are assisted by Guillermo de la Cruz (Harvey Guillén), Nandor’s familiar who, upon discovering that Abraham Van Helsing is his descendant, becomes a skilled vampire slayer.

Since its debut in 2019, the mockumentary horror comedy has become a hit amongst fans. Due to its continued popularity, FX renewed the series for a fifth and sixth season in 2022 – with the former premiering in July 2023.

Unfortunately, the show’s beloved gang of vampires will be hanging up their cloaks for good in the new year. On 19 December, Vulture confirmed that What We Do in the Shadows’ upcoming sixth season will be its last.
