Gemma Clare Collins (born 31 January 1981) is an English media personality and businesswoman. In 2011, she began appearing on the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex. Following a brief appearance on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! (2014), Collins has appeared in various television programmes including Celebrity Big Brother (2016), Celebs Go Dating (2018), and Dancing on Ice (2019). In 2019, she began starring in her own reality series and hosting a podcast on BBC Sounds.
Gemma Collins defends close pals Jedward as she fumes over Louis Walsh branding them 'vile'
Gemma Collins has thrown her support behind pals, Jedward, after Louis Walsh was seen on Celebrity Big Brother branding them 'vile', but said that they were a 'novelty'.
John and Edward Grimes, aka Jedward, both 32, appeared on ITV's the X Factor in 2009, where judge Louis, 71, was their mentor, and he went on to manage them for four years, until 2013.
But it appears there is bad blood between Louis and Jedward, after his comments made in the CBB house about them. Former TOWIE star, Gemma Collins, 43, just so happened to be enjoying a roast dinner at her home with Jedward as they watched Celebrity Big Brother together.
She filmed the boys' angry reactions, as well as turning the camera on herself as she spoke out in defence of them. One of the boys said they only ever met Louis "four times" and branded Louis a "bitter old man" whilst the other claimed Louis' former acts, including Girls Aloud, Boyzone and Westlife "hate" him.
