Heartstopper creator shares exciting update on the sixth and final volume
Alice Oseman has revealed exciting information about the final volume of Heartstopper. Back in April 2023, the Solitaire author announced that the sixth instalment of the popular comic series would be its last. “SOME NEWS!
Heartstopper Volume 5 will be released on November 9th 2023, in the UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand.. and there will be a Vol 6, the final Heartstopper volume,” they wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Over the last year, Oseman has kept relatively quiet about the forthcoming volume––until now. During a 30 May Q&A session on their Tumblr page, the Radio Silence writer admitted to feeling “pretty good” about the forthcoming project – adding that they’ve finished the story’s first draft minus the art. “Everyone who’s read it has had really positive responses,” Oseman added. “I’m gonna make some tweaks to it, and then I’ll be starting to draw pretty soon!
Which is the fun bit!” In a separate question, Oseman was asked if the equally popular Netflix series would adapt volume six, to which they replied, “If we get a season 4, it will be in season 4!” While volume six is still in the works, fans won’t have to wait too long for new Heartstopper content.
