“History is made”: How fans reacted to Kylie Minogue joining Madonna on tour

At long last! Madonna and Kylie Minogue have finally shared the stage in Los Angeles at the former’s ongoing Celebration Tour.

The headliner invited the Aussie icon onto stage, who was dressed in a rhinestone bedazzled black tank top that read “Madonna”, a nod to the shirt Madonna wore at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards with Kylie’s name scrawled across the front.

Speaking to the crowd, the ‘All the Lovers’ star correctly pointed out that “this moment is a long time coming.” The pair started by singing an acapella version of Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, before performing a stripped-back rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s disco classic ‘I Will Survive’.

The two queens of pop have ruled the music charts together since the 1980s, however they have never collaborated on a track together.
