Holly Willoughby pulls out of Pride of Britain Awards amid alleged kidnapping conspiracy

Holly Willoughby is no longer attending this evening's Pride of Britain awards, despite original plans to participate. The This Morning presenter was scheduled to head to the event on Sunday night (October 8), at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, reports the Mirror.

The ceremony is graced by some of the entertainment industry's biggest names each year as Britain's bravest people are celebrated.

But Holly will not be absent from the event tonight, which is pre-recorded and airs at 8pm on Thursday October 12 on ITV. Holly is a stalwart at the prestigious event, hosted this year by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.

Holly's absence comes after a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as Essex Police said in a statement: "A 36-year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as part of an ongoing investigation.
