David Tenant has teased new details about Ncuti Gatwa’s upcoming performance in Doctor Who. Back in May 2022, the Sex Education star was announced as the new Time Lord for the show’s upcoming 14th season. “There aren’t quite the words to describe how I’m feeling.

A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited, and of course a little bit scared,” Gatwa shared in a statement. “This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care.” Over the last few months, the BBC and showrunner Russell T Davies have shared small sneak peeks at Gatwa’s upcoming performance with first-look photos and brief clips, featured in the trailers for Doctor Who’s 60th-anniversary specials.

In November 2022, Davies teased: “If you thought the appearance of David Tennant was a shock, we’ve got plenty more surprises on the way.”  “The path to Ncuti’s Fifteenth Doctor is laden with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun!

And how is it connected to the return of the wonderful Donna Noble? How, what, why? We’re giving you a year to speculate, and then all hell lets loose!”  Fortunately, new exciting details about the Barbie star’s 15th Doctor have recently come out, courtesy of Good Omens actor Tennant.
