Partick Thistle boss Ian McCall has apologised to Scott Lambie after admitting his comments about the referee “verged on bullying”.
McCall hit out after his side’s 1-0 defeat at Inverness on Friday night but vowed to say sorry to the ref’s face after he acknowledged his comments were out of order.
The Jags were denied a penalty on Friday before Kyle Turner was sent off and after the Championship clash McCall said: “There were two pivotal moments.
The penalty kick’s the clearest you’ll ever see. “I can understand the sending off but it’s a 50-50. It’s very soft. I don’t think I’ve seen the referee before, he looked way out of his depth for this level.” But McCall backtracked on BBC Radio Scotland’s Off the Ball programme.
