Joaquin Phoenix is addressing his latest career move. The 49-year-old actor spoke out on Wednesday (September 4) about his controversial departure from Todd Haynes’ untitled gay romance movie just five days before it was scheduled to begin filming while attending the press conference for Joker: Folie à Deux at 2024 Venice Film Festival. “I think if I do [speak about the reasoning], I’d just be sharing my opinion from my perspective, and the other creatives aren’t here to say their piece, and it just doesn’t feel like that would be right,” he said, via People.
