Facing a growing outbreak of the monkeypox virus, New York City health officials expanded access to a monkeypox vaccine on Thursday, offering it to a new group of people who may be at higher risk: men who have had multiple or anonymous male sexual partners over the last two weeks. 21st Century President Act, now officially allows women and LGBTQ+ people to become president. The bill was passed by a voice vote.The same bill passed the House in the last Congress by a voice vote as well, the Hill reports.Tuesday's vote targeted part of the U.S. code that concerns threats to presidents, former presidents, and their "immediate family." an out bisexual man who was the 2018 Democratic nominee in the race for Florida governor, has been indicted on 21 counts, including charges of conspiracy, wire fraud, and making false statements.On Wednesday, a federal grand jury returned an indictment against Gillum, a former mayor of Tallahassee, and a longtime associate and fellow Tallahassee resident, Sharon Lettman-Hicks.According to the indictment, between 2016 and 2019, Gillum and Lettman-Hicks “engaged in an on-going and evolving scheme to defraud by unlawfully soliciting and obtaining funds from various entities and individuals through false and fraudulent representations and promises that the funds would be used for a legitimate purpose.”Gillum and Lettman-Hicks then allegedly used third parties to divert a portion of those funds to P&P, a communications company owned by Lettman-Hicks, who then provided the funds, disguised as payroll payments, to Gillum for his personal use.Both defendants have been charged with 19 counts of wire fraud, and Gillum is also charged with making false statements to FBI agents investigating the suspected fraud, according to a press release for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.If convicted of the charges against them, Gillum and Lettman-Hicks could face up to 20 years in prison for the conspiracy charge, and 20 years for wire fraud.

WASHINGTON — The Biden administration on Thursday proposed new rules governing how schools must respond to sex discrimination, rolling back major parts of a Trump administration policy that narrowed the scope of campus sexual misconduct investigations and cementing the rights of transgender students into law. The proposal would overhaul an expansive rule finalized under former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, which for the first time codified how colleges and K-12 schools investigate sexual assault on campus.

Thousands of people gathered in the centre of the Italian capital on Saturday to celebrate the return of Rome Pride -- the first after the COVID lockdown.LGBTQ+ activists were demonstrating the right to choose their sexuality without being discriminated against, as well as the right not to be excluded because of their race or religious beliefs.Fabrizio Teragnoli, a tailor from Rome, said the event was of utmost importance to Italian society today.  "What I have underneath is mine, why do we need to say: 'You are a man, a woman, Hebrew, Christian or Muslim?' I'm a human being and I'm here to demonstrate for these rights," Teragnoli said.Another participant, Angelo Rinaldi from Rome said, "There's a long road ahead, for sure, but we'll keep fighting until we'll get what we want."Some 200,000 people were expected to take part in the parade according to the organisers.After a two-year hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic, the event took place with good weather and clear skies.Participants travelled in colourfully decorated trucks from Piazza della Repubblica in front of the Termini railway station to reach the Piazza Venezia square, a central hub in Rome.
