Barclay M. Bollas, a longtime resident of Euless, a former newsman and a public relations executive, died March 16, 2023, in Dallas.
He was 92 years old. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., he received his BA degree with honors from Colgate University, where he was managing editor of the Colgate Maroon, the nation’s oldest college weekly newspaper.
He did graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania and served two years as an Air Force officer during the Korean conflict.
He began his career in 1956 as a reporter and later was suburban editor, at the Peekskill (N.Y.) Evening Star. He subsequently joined the staff of Haverford (Penn.) College as director of public information and publications and later was named assistant director of the news bureau at Princeton University.
