Irish indie-pop icon Orla Gartland has made her highly-anticipated return with new single, ‘Kiss Ur Face Forever.’ The song marks her first release since her 2021 debut album, Woman On The Internet. ‘Kiss Ur Face Forever’ is equally cynical and soppy, seeing Gartland lean into the more upbeat, electronic and rock-infused side of her sound.
Showcasing her vocal range over an infectious riff and explosive drums, Gartland is back better than ever. “This song is about being in love and split down the middle by it,” she explains. “On one side excited and energised, the other side cynical and withheld. “I really love the erratic guitars and the urgency of the drums in this track – hearing the intro literally gets my heart rate up.” READ MORE: Heartstopper’s secret weapon is hugs Woman On The Internet, represented an expansion of her sound, spanning pop-punk to indie-rock influences.

Gartland is currently also in a new alt-pop band, FIZZ, alongside dodie, Greta Isaac and Martin Luke Brown. FIZZ’s debut album, The Secret To Life, is due for release on 15 September via Decca Records.
