Reality TV favourites Pete Wicks and Maura Higgins have set tongues wagging this afternoon as they each posted on social media in the wake of reports claiming that they locked lips at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Earlier today, news broke that the TOWIE hunk, 36, and the former Love Island bombshell, 33, reportedly kissed at an afterparty held at the plush Grosvenor House in London. The pair reportedly partied until 1am at the hotel's swanky Red Bar after Monday night's ceremony, seemingly confirming their relationship with PDAs, fuelling the fire of romance rumours swirling around them. They were spotted having a cosy moment away from prying eyes before Maura affectionately pecked Pete’s nose and they sealed it with a smooch.

Although both stars took to Instagram to share their thoughts about the prestigious event, neither has explicitly acknowledged their canoodling.

In one Instagram post, uploaded around the same time the story hit the headlines on Tuesday, red carpet correspondent Pete shared snaps with his buddy Sam Thompson, expressing: "It was on honour to work at @prideofbritain again... [Sam] and I are very fortunate to be able to do some of the things we do but last night is without doubt the most special evening of the year. "It's a beautiful event with beautiful people and a humbling experience to be in a room with true hero's who deserve the spotlight not just for one night but every day.
