Many expect the Delaware Democratic primary for governor to be close. I believe there is one candidate who stands out from the rest — that is Matt Meyer.
I urge a vote for him in the Sept. 10 Democratic primary. Matt has a diverse and impressive background. He grew up in Delaware, attending schools in the Brandywine School District, followed by Wilmington Friends School, and then went on to study Computer Science & Political Science, at Brown University.
He has a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. After school Matt moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where he learned Swahili, and created Ecosandals, a recycled footwear company that sold environmentally friendly footwear to customers in 17 countries, on five continents.
He served in Iraq as a diplomat for the U.S. State Department, as a senior economic adviser on the ground in Mosul, Iraq, working with military and economic aid leaders to assist the Iraqi people.
