Disney Plus has finally – we repeat, FINALLY – unleashed the first official trailer for the long-awaited sequel to Hocus Pocus.

Premiering 30 September on the streamer, Hocus Pocus 2 reunites Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the iconic 17th century witch-sisters, Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson, respectively. “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge,” reads the official synopsis. “Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.” Hocus Pocus 2 also stars Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belisa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Paige Henderson and Nina Kitchen.

Doug Jones returns as William “Bully” Butcherson, the ex-boyfriend of Winifred who is brought back to life as a zombie. Earlier this year, it was also reported that Drag Race stars Ginger Minj, Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté and Kahmora Hall will star in the film.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the trio are rumoured to play drag versions of the Sanderson Sisters. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Jen D’Angelo and produced by Lynn Harris, with Adam Shankman, Ralph Winter and David Kirscher serving as executive producers.

But if you think all that attention on her personal life is making her back down, think again. There’s a reason Sause took home the award for Best Reality Star at the 2022 MTV Movie and TV Awards last month, and it’s not because she’s afraid to call out some bullsh*t when she see’s it.As the House of Representatives was deliberating on the Respect for Marriage act earlier this week, Sause took to Twitter to say something that was on the mind of every same-sex marriage supporter in the country.“MARRIAGE EQUALITY!!! I can not believe we are even still asking this in 2022 Feel like we have entered the twilight zone,” she tweeted.MARRIAGE EQUALITY!!!I can not believe we are even still asking this in 2022 ?
