Harrowing Footage Released of Trans Woman Beaten to Death in Miami
transgender woman to death last month outside the Miami City Ballet in Miami Beach, Florida.The attack happened on the morning of April 23.
The graphic footage shows the victim, named as Andrea Doria Dos Passos, sleeping while suspect Gregory Gibert picks up a metal pipe from the floor and repeatedly hits her in the head and face with it as she lays on the ground.According to police, as reported by The Miami Herald, the victim had a puncture wound to her chest, as well as lacerations on her face and the back of her head.
A wooden stick was found lodged in her nose cavity, and another in her nostril, exiting just over her right eye.After the attack, Gibert was seen on video surveillance placing the metal pipe in a trash bin.According to WTVJ in Miramar, records showed Gibert had just been released from prison a week prior to the attack.
He had been given four years' felony probation after being charged with attempted armed robbery with a weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
