Media screwing up politics coverage is a disservice to the public

More evident than ever is how newspapers, and other media, are desperately competing for business. In doing so, they are too often confusing opinion with reporting.

While reporters are inserting more opinion in their columns, editorial boards are shying away from their role of endorsing candidates.

The New York Times recently announced it would no longer endorse in any political race except for president. The Times announcement seems a little schizophrenic.

They took a strong stand helping to push Joe Biden to step down as a candidate, and stated forcefully they don’t support Trump.
