Michelle Collins and Cindy Beale are interchangeable names for some, it seems. The actor who played Cindy on EastEnders admitted tonight (Tuesday) on The One Show that she often is called 'Cindy'.
But those who perhaps mix Michelle up with her fictional counterpart have also expressed their astonishment at how amazing she looks 35 years on from her first appearance on the soap.
The character is back from the dead - literally, she was killed off in the storyline after dying in prison in 1998. EastEnders fans have differing opinions on her return, especially as she's brought former hubby - who she tried to have murdered - Ian Beale with her.
There will be fireworks on the Square if the first episode of her return is anything to go by, as she has connections with the current landlord of the Queen Vic, George Knight, under the assumed name of 'Rose Sawyer'. "It was her voice, because I don't really like my voice and I can't stand watching myself onscreen, but Cindy's voice it was like, 'oh no'," she said, putting her face in her hands.
