Euphoria’s Colman Domingo to play Batman in a new limited series
Euphoria star Colman Domingo has signed on to play Batman in a new limited series. Back in 2022, DC fans immersed themselves in the hit serialised Spotify podcast Batman Unburied.
Created by David S. Goyer, the ten-episode series follows the caped crusader (played by Black Panther’s Winston Duke) as he tries to stop The Harvester from enacting his sinister plan against Gotham and its residents.
The critically acclaimed series also featured a different take on Bruce Wayne/Batman, who in this universe is a Black man and forensic pathologist.
Bruce’s parents are also still alive, which is a significant difference from the original Batman continuity. Following its successful release, Spotify announced in March that a spin-off of Batman Unburied – titled The Riddler: Secrets In The Dark – would be heading to the platform, with Hasan Minhaj reprising his role as the titular villain.
