The mum of a teenager who died by suicide only discovered she was being bullied after her daughter’s tragic death. Macie Vella took her own life at her dad’s home on July 26 last year after arguing with her girlfriend earlier that night. The 18-year-old’s phone was examined as part of a police investigation into her passing.
But her family then discovered a series of text messages which revealed Macie’s life had been made “a living hell” by youngsters who taunted her about the way she looked.Mum Linda Murray, 40, who now lives in Windermere in the Lake District, has struggled with grief after Macie's passing.
She told LancsLive: “It was only when the police looked into Macie's death that we found out she was being bullied quite badly.“They made her life a living hell.
The last 12 months have been nothing short of devastating for us as her family as we have tried to navigate through what can only be described as hell.
