Hi Jake. The election is a few days away, and I’m worried about my husband. He’s FREAKING out. Don’t get me wrong, I have major election anxiety too, but my hubby is obsessed with it–analyzing every poll, consuming every bit of news, and spouting out doomsdays scenarios around the clock–so much so that I’m worried about his mental health. He’s even saying we’re 100% moving out of the country if Trump wins.
I mean, as bad as that will be, I’m not about to give up my house and well-paying job, not to mention my family and social circle, to start over in some unknown country (not that I even could if I wanted to!).
If I try to rationalize, however, he goes ballistic. Subscribe to our newsletter for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.At this point, his hysteria is starting to affect me when I’m around him.
What do I do with a husband who’s in an election doom-spiral?Harrowed HubbyDear Harrowed Hubby,The queer community is on edge right now, especially since our literal freedoms and rights could be threatened in this upcoming election.
