Texas Attorney General announced today (Friday, Nov. 8) that he is once again interfering in healthcare decisions that should remain private between an individual and their healthcare professional by going after yet another doctor for providing medically-necessary healthcare for transgender individuals under the age of 18.

According to a press release today from Paxton’s office: “Attorney General Ken Paxton sued a second North Texas doctor for illegally providing ‘gender transition’ drugs to more than a dozen children. “This is the third action Attorney General Paxton has taken to enforce Senate Bill 14, which prohibits doctors from illegally prescribing dangerous ‘gender transition’ drugs to children.

Attorney General Paxton recently sued a Dallas-area doctor in the first ever SB 14 enforcement action and another doctor in El Paso who provided prohibited interventions to children as young as 12.” No word yet on how Paxton is getting his hands on individuals’ healthcare information that is supposed to be private and protected. — Tammye Nash

Election Entertainment Rights relationships Celebrity Love UPS I was devastated to learn my younger brother voted for Trump. How do I move forward in my family?
Hi Jake,Like a lot of people, I’m completely distraught over this week’s election results. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I’ve never been more afraid for my future and sad for my country. What is most upsetting to me, however, is learning that my younger brother voted for Trump. On election night, he was celebrating, while my mom and I were in despair. I feel a conflicting mix of emotions. Anger. Sadness. Betrayal. Disgust. But, mostly, I’m not sure how (or if) my relationship with him can heal from this. He doesn’t seem to understand (or care?) about the real-life impact this election or the impact his giddiness over Trump’s victory has on me (which, TBH, is the most appalling part). Subscribe to our newsletter for a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.I seriously have no idea how to communicate with him right now, and what I would even say. I love my brother, which is why this hurts so much, but I’m having a hard time seeing how I can possibly have a relationship with him moving forward. Any advice?
