Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams has signed on to narrate Britney Spears’ highly anticipated memoir. Back in July, the pop icon surprised fans when she announced the release date of her tell-all book The Woman In Me – which is set to be released under the Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books. “It’s coming… My story.
On my terms. At last. Are you ready?” she revealed in a video on her Instagram. Over the last few weeks, the ‘Me Against The Music’ talent has opened up about what fans can expect from the release, including new details regarding its audiobook counterpart.
In a recent statement to PEOPLE, Spears revealed that she would only be narrating the introduction portion of the book. “This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it.
Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least,” she explained. “For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.” While Spears is set to take a backseat for the audiobook recording, she did reveal that Williams would be stepping in as its overall narrator. “I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it,” she added.
