‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ star Carmen Carrera “would” consider a potential return to the show, but said that she is unsure of how she would want to do it.
Since appearing on season three in 2011, Carmen has yet to compete on ‘All Stars’ or one of ‘Drag Race’s’ other iterations, such as ‘vs the World’.
During an appearance on the ‘Very Delta’ podcast, which is hosted by season three alum Delta Work, Carmen revealed that she is open to returning to ‘Drag Race’. “I would, yeah, hell yeah I would!” she told her sister after being asked what capacity she could see herself coming back in. “I would love to see an all-trans All Stars, that would be cool.” Carmen added that she has “even thought about possibly going on ‘Drag Race’ just to compete as a brand new competitor” due to being a “different person” than she was. READ MORE: Drag Race star Carmen Carrera describes terrifying experience at fatal Miami Club shooting “But I’m not sure if that’s possible,” she continued. “I don’t really know where I stand with the producers of the show and stuff like that, you know?” She shared that “things seem cool” between her and the production team but there has “been a lot of controversy in the past” and she’s unsure of how that would impact a potential return to the franchise. “I haven’t spoken to Michelle [Visage] in a long time and I haven’t spoken to RuPaul either, so I think it would be interesting, you know, to see how that would pan out,” she said.
Delta assured Carmen that “people would love it” if she were to compete again, to which the star responded: “I know, I would love it too, I would love it too.
