Tyra Sanchez has been arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot Florida police. According to a report obtained by TMZ, the drag entertainer – who won the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race – has been charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting without violence.
Tyra, also known as James Ross and ‘King Tyra’, was involved in a minor car crash in Starke, a city outside of Jacksonville.
It quickly escalated when police arrived on the scene, where Tyra allegedly “verbally berated” them and threatened to shoot an officer.
The report also states that Tyra reached into her car when the officer tried to put handcuffs on her. After Tyra was tasered – which did “squat to stop her” – she allegedly ran away from the scene before police found her and took her into custody.
