Manu Ríos fans rejoice! The young talent is set to return to our TV screens in a new Netflix series. Since making his debut on the fourth season of the beloved teem drama Élite, the 24-year-old actor has captivated viewers with his portrayal of openly queer student Patrick Blanco.
While Ríos’ character quickly became a fan favourite, the young talent ended his run on the series after its sixth season. “I believe that everything that begins has its end.
As an actor, you want to do different things,” he revealed to Fotogramas in 2022. “Although Elite has been an incredible experience, and I am very grateful for everything it has brought, there are also times when it is necessary to move on from that stage, change the page, and do other things.” Fortunately, Rios is teaming backing up with the creator of Élite, Carlos Montero, for his new Netflix medical drama series Respira.
According to El Español, the show is set to follow Biel, one of the residents of a public hospital in Valencia, Spain, as he navigates various patients, long hours, romantic connections and an impending hospital strike.
