Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney has opened up about filming Doctor Who with Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa. After months of anticipation, fans will finally be treated to new episodes of Doctor Who starting with the 60th-anniversary specials in November 2023.

In the new batch of episodes, David Tennant and Catherine Tate are set to return as the 14th Doctor and Donna, respectively, with Finney joining the series as a new Rose. “Life on Doctor Who gets brighter and wilder – how can there be another Rose?

You’ll find out in 2023, but it’s an absolute joy to welcome Yasmin to the Doctor Who set,” showrunner Russell T Davies teased.

Following the release of the anniversary specials, fans will see Gatwa stepping in as the 15th Doctor for the show’s highly anticipated 14th season.
