Sarah Paulson has named and shamed an actor who ‘outrageously’ criticised her performance in an off-Broadway play. The Emmy Award-winning actress recently appeared on an episode of the Smartless podcast, hosted by actors Jason Bateman (Arrested Development), Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman).
During the interview, Paulson reminisced on her stint in the 2013 off-Broadway production of Talley’s Folly, which chronicles the romance between Matt Friedman (Danny Burstein) and Sally Talley (Paulson).
Talley’s Folly, which first premiered in 1979, was written by the late Lanford Wilson and originally starred Judd Hirsch and Trish Hawkins as Matt and Sally. “I did do a play once.
The last time I was on stage, I did a play called Talley’s Folly at the Roundabout, and the actress – and I’m going to say this, and I’m not going to ask you to cut this out, because I don’t f***ing care – this actress came to the play,” said Paulson. “Her name is Trish Hawkins – Hi, Trish!
