On 3 October, Paramount announced that the highly anticipated film would be hitting theatres on 12 January 2024. “January 12 is going to be SO FETCH.
The new #MeanGirls movie is coming to theatres soon,” the studio wrote on Instagram. The announcement also included a new poster featuring the classic 2004 film logo with a music note placed in the middle of “Mean.” Shortly after the news was announced, fans took to the comment section to express their excitement.
One person wrote: “Get in loser, we’re going to the movie theater.” Another fan commented: “I’m so excited I’ve been waiting forever!” Before the aforementioned announcement, the Mean Girls: The Musical movie was initially set to release on Paramount+.
