A Wishaw actor and performing arts director is in the running for a prestigious award for championing LGBTQI equality.Garry King has been nominated in the Community Champion category at the Proud Scotland Awards 2024.He has been shortlisted along with five other hopefuls and the winner will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony next week.Garry, who is lead principal, at Lanarkshire-based performing arts group Go Kids Scotland has been nominated for the work he does with Pride in both north and south Lanarkshire, and for his work with the youngsters in performance.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
