“You are insane”: Troye Sivan simulating oral sex on tour goes viral
Troye Sivan’s saucy tour antics are going viral on Gay Twitter. On 29 May, the Australian pop star kicked off his Something to Give Each Other Tour in Lisbon, Portugal, where he was met with a rapturous response for simulating oral sex on stage and making out with one of his backing dancers.
The former occurred during a performance of his song ‘Got Me Started’, with Troye singing into a microphone held at the crotch of a dancer, while he locked lips with another for ‘Rush’.
Although the microphone-related moment received a bit of controversy online from miserable people, a majority of social media users praised Troye for his queer antics.
One fan celebrated the strides that the LGBTQIA+ community has made towards wider acceptance in the music industry, acknowledging how Adam Lambert once got “tore up for kissing a boy” at the 2009 AMAs. “Now look at the gaybies,” they wrote, “living their best and most authentic pop star lives!” In response to a viral tweet’s caption about the performance being “so gay”, another wrote: “Like yeah, he’s gay, the song’s gay, the audience is gay… did you expect anything else but gay?” Check out the viral tweet here.
