Humphries credits a trip to Los Angeles with finding the courage to come out. For the first time in his life, he met and observed out gay people who were succeeding in their lives.
At the time, Humphries was injured. A true blessing in disguise, the downtime afforded him the opportunity to travel, and step outside of his comfort zone.
