Pop superstar Troye Sivan has earned his first number-one album on the Australian charts. On 13 October, fans of the ‘Bloom’ singer were finally treated to his highly anticipated third album, Something to Give Each Other.
Made up of 10 immersive pop tracks – including his hit singles ‘Rush’ and ‘Got Me Started’ – the record is described as a celebration of “sex, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love, and friendship.” Since its release, the album has received universal praise from fans and critics for its unapologetically queer lyrical content, outstanding pop production, and Sivan’s vocals.
One fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Something to Give Each Other kinda slowly moving into my top 3 albums of the year.” Another fan posted: “Kinda insane how no album in the history of the world will ever top this.” Due to its continued popularity amongst music listeners, the album has achieved incredible commercial feats.
On 20 October, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) announced that Sivan earned his first number-one album on the long-running chart with Something to Give Each Other, beating out Drake’s album For All the Dogs.
