The release date for the Red, White and Royal Blue movie, but before that happens, let’s have a closer look at the amazing cast who will bring this beloved story to our screens.Based on the best-selling novel by Casey McQuiston, the R-rated gay romantic comedy follows Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), the charismatic son of the US president, as he is forced into a sham friendship with the good-looking British Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) after a public (but rather sweet) incident.
However, it doesn’t take long for the fake friendship to develop into something more. The movie synopsis speaks of their entanglement, writing: “Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn’t really been an issue until a disastrous—and very public—altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder, driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time.”But who exactly are the two charismatic leads in this modern fairytale?Taylor Zakhar Perez, who plays Alex Claremont-Diaz, is best known for his role as Shane on HBO Max’s Minx and as Marco Valentin Pena in the two sequels of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth.
Born in Chicago the actor grew up in Indiana, where he started by performing musicals in opera houses at an early age. The actor also appeared in TV shows iCarly and Scandal.
