A teenager has been jailed after slashing a college student in the neck before making ‘slit throat’ gestures. Ellis Taylor, 19, had bought a Stanley knife moments before a girl had accidentally bumped into him outside the Salford Shopping Precinct.
An argument developed between Taylor and the group, before he came to blows with the victim. A melee ensued during which he ‘lashed out’ with the knife and hit him to the neck.
The student was left with a five centimetre deep wound, but has since made a full recovery.
