House from a Southern state, on Monday, Jan. 27, joined beverage and food distributor Ben E. Keith for the first Jobs with Julie workday program of the 119th Congress.

Jobs with Julie is an innovative initiative where Congresswoman Johnson spends a day working alongside employees at local businesses across the district to help “connect the congresswoman with the community on a deeper level, gaining first hand insight into the challenges and opportunities employers and employees face,” according to a press release from Johnson’s office. “By immersing herself in the daily operations of local businesses, Congresswoman Johnson seeks to understand the workforce’s needs better and develop policies that directly address the economic realities of her constituents.” (Photos courtesy of Congresswoman Julie Johnson’s office.) — Tammye Nash
