Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef are calling it quits after six years of marriage. In a joint statement to PEOPLE, the former couple said: “We have decided to end our marriage with love, respect and dignity for our children and honoring what we have experienced as a couple all these wonderful years. “Our greatest desire now is to continue having a healthy family dynamic and a relationship centered on peace and friendship to continue the joint upbringing of our children, preserving the respect and love we have for each other.” Ricky and Jwan, a Syrian-born Swedish painter, began dating in 2016 after meeting on Instagram.
They announced in January 2018 that they had tied the knot in a secret ceremony. At the time, Ricky told E! News: “I’m a husband, but we’re doing a heavy party in a couple of months. “We exchanged vows, and we’ve swear [sic] everything, and we’ve signed all the papers that we needed to sign, prenups and everything.” They welcomed their first daughter, Lucia Martin-Yosef, later that year.
Their first son, Renn Martin-Yosef, was born in 2019. Together, they also raised Ricky’s twin sons Matteo and Valentino. The post Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef to divorce after six years of marriage appeared first on GAY TIMES.
