Work in embroidery at my rank amateur skill level; and B. Wasn’t so risqué that I’d need to be blushing my way through stitching a leather daddy’s junk!”Katherine expressed happiness with how it turned out, before offering embroidery details“I used 6-strand DMC S976 Mouliné Satin (rayon) floss.
I found it a bit fiddly as it [is] super slippery, separates easily, is hard to knot and can fluff up if too much friction is applied, so working in small lengths helps.
On the plus side, it has a nice shine to it that alters with light and angle, giving some interesting dimension and shadow effects.“From sketching out to completion, I think it took me around 12 hours.”Spending hours hand embroidering a Tom of Finland drawing is the kind of supportive mom we love to hear about!Katherine’s post soon went viral, receiving over 17k likes and thousands of comments.
