Searchlight Pictures has treated fans to a new sneak peek of All of Us Strangers, and it’s heart-wrenching. Spoilers ahead Based on the novel Strangers by Japanese novelist Taichi Yamada, All of Us Strangers follows screenwriter Adam (Scott), who navigates a new romance with his mysterious neighbour Harry (Mescal).
However, things take a surprising turn when Adam comes across his dead parents (Jamie Bell and Claire Foy), who “appear to be living just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.” While All of Us Strangers is still a ways away from its UK release, Searchlight Pictures surprised fans with a new clip of the film featuring Scott and Foy’s characters.
At the start of the video, a soaked Adam (Scott) roams around his childhood bedroom in search of clean clothes. Foy – who’s character name is just Mum in the film – breaks the silence by knocking on his door before announcing that his old clothes probably won’t fit anymore. “I brought you some of your dad’s things instead,” she said.
While Adam is changing into his father’s clothes, Mum expresses her shock over his adult body, stating: “You were just a boy.
