Aberdeen star Bojan Miovski has remained coy about his long-term future at Pittodrie, and admits "no one knows" what lies ahead for the North Macedonian striker. The former MTK Budapest man has been a shining light in an otherwise miserable season for the Dons, scoring 22 times in 41 matches in all competitions, an improvement on the 18 goals he managed in his debut campaign in Scotland in 2022/23.
Over a dozen of those strikes have came in the Premiership, and had it not been for Miovski's goals, Aberdeen could have found themselves in an even more precarious position, with interim boss Neil Warnock's side currently sitting just four points above the relegation play-off zone. The 24-year-old's exploits have not gone unnoticed, with clubs in England, Italy, Spain and Germany keeping a close eye on the Reds talisman.
English Championship side Southampton, who's transfer drive is led by Aberdeen's former head of recruitment Darren Mowbray, have reportedly seen approaches in the last two transfer windows knocked back by the Pittodrie club, while Premiership rivals Celtic are also believed to be keen admirers.Miovski is contracted in the Granite City until the summer of 2026, with previous manager Barry Robson stating last December that that the club were hopeful of extending the striker's stay in the north east.Chairman Dave Cormack and the rest of the board are desperate to keep their man and would only allow the player to leave if they receive more than the £4.5million banked with Calvin Ramsay's transfer to Liverpool in July 2022.
And despite hinting that he could see out the full duration of his existing deal, Miovski admits that "the future can bring everything" for a man who has been tipped to move onto bigger and better things elsewhere.Speaking to Red TV ahead of the Scottish Cup quarter final clash against Kilmarnock on Saturday, he said: "No one knows about the future, but I have two more years on my contract. "I signed for four years and have two left.
